Her life changed when she met Edgar Allan Pig, and started Edgar's Mission, a location where she and her staff rescued farm animals from lives of drudgery and neglect.

An inspiring speaker, and a powerful one, she was once a gifted equestrian, who loved the experience that riding horses could provide for her. However, when someone told her, "You can't", she then proved that she could. Pam described the inadequacy of animal protection laws vividly. For example, chickens are bred to grow far more quickly than they should, which effects their health outcomes, depriving them of a quality way of life. In another demonstration of these faults, she referred to the dark side of breeding pedigree dogs and discussed how she had improved the way this process could take place. In another heavy statistic, Pam cited the example of five hundred million animals being bred for fibre and food. Indeed, she is expanding the circle of compassion in a very effective and positive way.
