Max Holland manages the "Tour de Canterbury Rotary" and provided this update of the recent adventures of the rotary bike group.
This week, the ride started from Craigieburn station and went through the northern part of the suburb to the Highland Lake Reserve for coffee at the Waterside Cafe.
The riders then went directly south and rode to the top of Mt Aitken. The following link shows the work progress on the Mt Aiken Reserve two years ago.

The ride continued southward along the Moonee Ponds Creek trail to lunch at the Cross Keys Hotel at Strathmore. This is an exceptionally good venue for seniors' meals. The railway station for the return home is opposite the hotel.
