President Tony received a very warm letter of appreciation which is re-produced below from the Canterbury Girl Guides.

Dear Tony,

I write to you on behalf of the Canterbury Girl Guides to officially thank you for your kind donation of $2000 earlier in the year towards the refit of the kitchen at the Canterbury Guide Hall.

This thank you has been delayed in coming because I had hoped to have photos of the girls using the kitchen to share with you, however with COVID-19 we have been unable to meet at the hall for most of the year and for the past few weeks, only meet outside.

I am attaching photos of the almost finished kitchen, there is still some painting to finish off which hopefully we will get to over the summer.

We look forward to the guides being able to make good use of our wonderful new facilities in the new year, as well as the Canterbury Neighbourhood Centre playgroup, Interchange Inner East and Lighter Footprints who also use our hall.

The partnership with Rotary, working with Michael Chong on the IIE Twilight Cinemas has been a great opportunity for our guides to give back in the past and we hope that there might be more opportunities for similar partnerships in the future.

Thank you again for your generous donation and wishing all your club members a happy and safe Christmas season.

Yours

Helen Reid
Canterbury Guides

PS Editor's Note: Apologies about the side-ways photo of the kitchen. All technical attempts to turn it around and even some strong language failed to get it  horizontal.
