I would like to thank you both and your club members for reaching out to offer us your FORaMEAL food packs.
The three hundred packs you offered to us were immediately delivered to both our Neighbours Place and Soul Food organisations here in Bacchus Marsh.
Neighbours Place does an amazing job here in Bacchus Marsh, offering emergency food hampers and operate as our Local Food Bank. The Facility is open 3 days a week and by appointment if required. The volunteers work tirelessly to ensure those in need have the essentials.
Soul Food offers a lunch once a week which not only guarantees a hot 3 course meal but also offers fellowship to those struggling with the isolation that has come with Covid 19 restrictions. Soul Food continued throughout the lockdown but could only offer a takeaway service, however I am delighted that they are now back in full swing.
The Food Parcel packs were so very well received by the recipients. In these challenging times, the arrival of such a Pack was as welcome as it was unexpected and brought a smile to many faces. These food parks make such a difference to those in our community who are struggling with the current health and financial hardships Victoria are facing at present. I commend you and may you and your club continue the great work you do.
