Over an extended time the Club has been working to have a peace pole(s) erected in a prominent public space.
There have been discussions with schools and Councils and it now looks very likely that the project will proceed at Victoria Park in Kew.
The Club has been working jointly with Pam Norton of the Kew RC on this project.
Below is a photo of Pam with David Shepard of the City of Boroondara at Victoria Park discussing the project this week (President Elizabeth in the one taking the photo). The second photo is the site which is the most likely location for the peace poles and a pollinator garden.
There will be a call for volunteers to assist with the project and the on-going maintenance of the site.
