On Monday evening members contributed food items for the pantry at the Surrey Hills Neighbourhood Centre. Wayne Dong was our Uber delivering person of our Club's contribution to the pantry and on Tuesday morning this email arrived:
"Please give our huge thanks to all the lovely people at the Rotary Club of Canterbury who got together to donate a fantastic range of goods for our weekly community pantry. We love that it’s a great range of essentials plus some treat items for our pantry users
We’re a bit blown away by everyone’s generosity and want all the Club members to know that the items will be going to people who are struggling a bit and will be so grateful for their support
And thanks too to lovely (and photogenic!) Wayne for delivering everything and helping us to unload it all
