Our speaker next week is Anna Andrusyh and the theme of her presentation will be Ukraine - a civilian update from the frontline

Anna is a proud Ukrainian and a history teacher and tour guide. When the war started, she, her husband, 6 year old and 4 month old together with Anna’s mother were living in the vegetable cellar as bombs fell outside. This was when the Russian tanks attempted and failed to take over the capital Kyiv.

Anna’s weapon became her voice. Determined to keep the spotlight on the terrible invasion, Anna did many media interviews all around the world.

Four months ago Anna’s husband was called to the military office and sent to Poland for training.

Anna is being hosted by several Australian’s that have toured with her as their guide.

Anna is here for two months with her young boys to have a break from the war, whilst encouraging Australians’ to not forget the sacrifice Ukrainians are making and give continued support from Australia.
