Matters in the interest of Rotary
- Elizabeth gave us feedback from the recent District Assembly held in Melton and gave particular focus to the message from Rotary International President elect Stephanie Urchick. This message was about peace
- not only world peace (which would be a good outcome) but also about peace within oneself, helping people belong and performing small acts of kindness
- Also, about making the club experience irresistible
- Hans provided a report on his recent participation in a judging panel for MBA students at Deakin University
- Doug told us about a previous attendee to the missions to the Philippines. This generous benefactor provided a donation of $16,000 to each of our projects in that country
- Rob made mention of the recent sausage sizzle at the Community Centre and how it was a huge success with the last snag being sold at closing time - the effort raised $550
- Bob added to this by commenting on how good it looked with the club members dressed in their Rotary PPE
