Well the meeting started off with the latest initiative from Pres Edda who set up the raffle ticket desk and managed to get a few souls who were keen to win the six pack of craft beers. That lucky person turned out to be Hans who, by the way, doesn't drink beer!. Keep eyes peeled for next week when we will have another great raffle prize to be won.
So on to the important stuff especially from the Pres!
- The Pres attended the Boroondara citizenship ceremony and was able to meet a lot of new Australians
- there is a roster for chair of the night who will bring their version of the raffle prize
- Edda and Cathie attended the Wooden Rock garden opening and were very impressed by the event which was well attended - here are some snaps
Matters in the interest of Rotary
- Probably a little late but there was a FORaMEAL packing event held today at Caulfield Grammar - looking forward to the feedback from Val next week
- There is a District packing event planned for November 5th at DIK
- Busy Feet started again yesterday 5th October - volunteers still needed please see Jenni
- A reminder from Tony about the end Polio walk and registering to join the Canterbury Canters
