- The Pres is working closely with Kew High School and a couple of others to approach their alumni and discuss Rotary and potential memberships
- Wear the Wattle is a good fundraiser for the club and recent sales have picked up with orders from a couple of councils - many thanks to the members who have put up their hand to assist in this important project
- A reminder to advise Rob Simpson by Monday 9am if you are a NON (yes NON) attendee at the weekly meeting. Bass care look after us but also have the right to charge for extra meals which are not used

Matters in the interest of Rotary
- Rob advised that he is looking at arranging other social events - details to follow as they are arranged
- Val updated that the previous weeks Scotch College packing event, attended by 30 schoolchildren, packed 13400 meals
- She also advised that the next event is on Thursday 6th October at Caulfield Grammar and she is looking for volunteers - to date they have 130 schoolchildren registered to participate - a bumper day so the more help we can provide the less pressure on Doug and Val
- Doug had a tour of his factory with the Ukranian Society where they viewed the goods ready to be shipped soon to Poland and on to the Ukraine. 12 pallets which includes 98000 meals, over 1200 sets of underwear and a pallet of medical supplies provided by Rotary clubs in New Zealand
