  • Gilly advised that RIMERN is looking for some back of house assistance that may possibly be undertaken from your home. Please contact Gilly if you can assist.
  • Doug proudly advised that the new second-hand truck was put to good use again on Sunday with a FORaMEAL delivery to the Afghanistan Immigration Association
  • Doug also mentioned an upcoming FORaMEAL packing event on Sunday 7 August from 5.30 to 9.30 in Box Hill where some member assistance will be required. Full details will be provided soon.
  • Steve as footy manager at Kew Bears boasted that the women’s team had another resounding win at the weekend.
  • Bob Lambert mentioned his meeting with Norm Gale from the Salvation Army and that they still would gratefully appreciate our assistance with their programs. He also mentioned that the Salvos are providing assistance to farmers who are having difficulties.
  • Bob also confirmed that Ant Balocca will be acting as his deputy in Community Services and that Joe Flinn will be assisting with Treasurer and meeting desk activities.
 
Finally Cathie assured members that there was no truth in the social media story that she and Joe Flinn were both washed away in the thunderstorm that fell on the Sunday Market but that they were like drowned rats was correct.
