Members and friends gathered as a large group last Monday evening to hear a very informative presentation by Aris Petratos regarding bee pollination. See the summary of Aris's presentation later in the Bulletin.
There were a few thanks announced at the meeting:
President Lili-Ann Kriegler read a thank you letter received from a Camberwell HS student whose education and school experience had benefited from assistance provided by the Club to the school. It is great to hear that the Club's relatively small assistance was so well appreciated.
The final sale of bee friendly plants was held last Sunday at the Camberwell Sunday market. The day was a success helped by a band including Club member Janet Hay playing at the market to encourage market visitors to buy up big on the plants. Thank you to all the members and friends who have assisted with the preparation and sale of the plants over the past weeks.
Michael Chong thanked Jenni Nankervis and the BusyFeet assistants for another great year. Michael also announced that the Busyfeet open day held a couple of weeks ago was very well supported and enjoyed by all the BusyFeet students.
On the 5 December, Anthony Balocca and Anne Josefsberg attended the RYLA Dinner. It was Ant's first time at this function, and they both had wonderful company at their table. Seated with them was Jess Wheeler, the in-coming Chair for RYLA 2020. They were surrounded by some of the participants and really enjoyed their conversations.
Anne advised she observed two things - the range of the individuals participating in the program has been massively diversified and there has been a significant refinement of the goals set in the RYLA program. Thanks to Gateway Rotaract who hosted the program and were very professional in the manner they undertook the task.

Above is a photo of members of the Club's walking group who regularly gather early in the morning to stretch their legs and are often accompanied by their dogs. This photo was taken recently when they were getting into the xmas spirit (or should that be spirits!).
