At number of matters were raised at Monday's meeting:
 
  • DIK is looking for assistance as they have 24 pick-ups scheduled in the period up to 17 December from schools and hospitals. Please contact Laurie Fisher (0428550574) or Bob Glimdemann (0418102702) at DIK if you are able to assist.
  • Doug Hawley distributed a certificate of recognition to the Club which was presented by a local Mayor to the members of the recent Philippines eye and ear mission.
  • Carmela Dimasi mentioned that the next in the hugely successful Twilight Cinemas will be held at Inner East on 30 November. Assistance with the night will be gratefully appreciated.
  • John McCaskill thanked all the volunteers and partners who made last week What the Buzz About Bees event such a success. As a follow-on Janet Hay is looked for assistance over the coming weeks with the sale of bee friendly plants at the Camberwell Sunday Market.
  • Lili-Ann spoke about the stall last Saturday at St Paul's fete. It was great fun, sales were a little slow but it was a good learning experience for future events.
 
 
 
Jenni Nankervis thanked all the members and friends (and their dogs) who joined the Alpha 1 Walk at Albert Park Lake last Sunday. It was great to see the Alpha 1 cause get so much support.
