The Club meeting highlight was the presentation of a Paul Harris award to Brendan Birthistle.
Brendan has been a long time friend of Club member Doug Hawley and has been on a number of Philippines Eye and Ear missions. He has also provided significant financial assistance to the Club and the Cataract Foundation in the Philippines which is very much appreciated. Congratulations to Brendan on the award.
Anne Josefsberg advised that the Club has received a very warm thank you from Kew High School for its financial assistance towards a scholarship for year 11 and 12 students.
Ed Brown has asked for volunteers to help load a container with beds at the Austin Hospital on Tuesday 1st of December. Anyone able to help please contact Ed on 0412116858.
