Yes we now all know that last week's meeting didn't happen. An understandable advice from Basscare, who own the Canterbury Centre where the Club meets, that for the safety of their clients and staff there would not be any meetings at the Centre until further notice meant that the Club had to cancel our proposed meeting.

The Club had a very big night organised for Monday 16 March.

We were about the induct ten members who had joined us from the former Yarra Bend Rotary Club and also Rose Stewart who has now been waiting a few months for the formal induction process.  District Governor Grant Hocking and also District Governor Elect Philip  Archer were going to be present to assist with the inductions.

Also we were going to have the judging of the Monster Mash potato growing competition. Many members had taken up the challenge of growing potatoes from a seed potato and been hopeful that there was actually something in their growing bucket over the past few months.

Prior to the meeting Karin Simpson emailed through photos of her crop as she was not going to be able to be at the meeting. Look at her amazing results below:

Please email to john.braine@canterburyrotary.org your potato photos so that we can put together an album of the achievments (or not).

The Club is taking steps to try and keep in touch with members as the medical emergency unfolds.

Please contact any of the Club's Board members if you have any queries
