Another great event was held last Friday evening when members of Canterbury Rotary Club (Amir, Carmela, Jenni, Doug, Graham and Michael) the John Gardiner Rovers crew, and the Boroondara Girl Guides participated in the first of this year's Twilight Cinema film nights for children and young adults with disabilities at Interchange Inner East.
The weather was kind for the event and lots of Interchange participants, their families and friends, including families from our Club's BusyFeet program attended and made the most of the opportunity to see Hotel Transylvania 3. It was lovely to see Muriel Simkiss and her son Peter attend. Muriel now leads our twice weekly BusyFeet programs at Glenallen where Peter is a Transition (final) year student. This event was the fourth covered by our Boroondara Council three-year grant. Two more Twilight Cinemas will be covered...next November and in Quarter 1, 2020.
Boroondara Mayor Jane Addis, who is also our local Maling Ward Councilor, attended and is picture with Jenni Nankervis and Carmela Dimasi. Marie Lugg and Travis Vandenberg from IIE thanked all of the volunteers from Rotary, Girl Guides and Rovers.
