The setup team of Narelle, Ant, Alan, David, President Jill, Pat, Helen, Kylie, Doug and me attended Tay Creggan campus of Strathcona Girls Grammar School for setup on Thursday 18 June. We were pretty slick and in a little over an hour we were looking great, all ready for the next day and headed off home again.
We returned again on Friday 19 June and the girls packed 26,880 meals for the 2 sessions on the day.
The team was added to by Yidan from RC Melbourne. Marg from RC Port Phillip and Kylie McQualter (a valued supporter who was originally introduced to the project when she came as our guest speaker). We excused David due to other commitments and Kyle a usual participant was benched and was supposed to be sitting with his feet up. Not fully compliant according to Terry!
Our thanks are extended to all who contributed to make the day easier. Thanks, are also extended for the lovely lunch provided for us and to the new campus head Marlo Vander Zalm and other staff that participated for the day.
On Tuesday this week, 23 June 2026 we returned to Caulfield Grammar Campus at Caulfield. The students packed 11,500 meals. This means that for the 2025-2026 Rotary Year 335,000 meals have been packed.
Thanks again to the wonderful support team of Narelle, Ant, Alan, President Jill, Rob, Doug and the supporters: Kate Cross, Paul Rogers, Tahlia and Liam from the Melbourne Uni Rotaractors and Marg from RC Port Phillip. Enjoy the break everyone.
